Congrats on the high bid. I would have been happy at that price. Can't wait for the incoming thread!

Thank you for the wishes and for reassurement. Might take longer with the incoming thread, as it will have to go directly to the watchmaker, first.

It was listed previously, for $6500, and ended as sold, best offer accepted. Must have fallen through or seller realized it was priced too high. Either way, agree it's raw shape and needs some TLC. I do like these!

In the current climate, and the venue (eBay), I would expect someone to pay the asking price. Even though there is corrosion on the minute register (what's under the dial?) and just a whisper of the logo on the back.

At a glance it looks a bit crappy, however the crystal, and subdial hands are the easiest things to fix on a Speedmaster, so after that and a heavy cleaning and service, which is assumed necessary in any 321 purchase you're left with a decent amount of potential, everything's there.

It's had 8 offers, so it may well make the current asking price. Not considering this one, but I personally wouldn't pay that much. I would, however, happily pay more for a better example.

As the "sticky" says...::book:: condition condition condition...

When service is added in, probably dealer priced?
