The Golden Squirrel of Distraction is not blind by any stretch of the imagination. Quite contrary - he's practically omniscient.

And it ended at a jumbo figure of $747.

    Lunacy.

The biggest things to fix are the bezel and case back which is going to be $$$$$. there was a 2915-1 franken monster case a few months ago that went for like 8k so whom ever has that could fix this and make it worth a lot more but the bezel...lol good luck finding the steel tach 1000 one. Atleast the 1000 black bezel is there to make up some of that....

Looks to me like the movement has been replaced? It is a very old watch and a lot can happen over time, but surely more likely that the movement changed rather than the case back? Are the case backs even interchangeable between -1 and -3?

I am not good enough with early dials, but I suspect this is a 2915-3 with a replaced movement. The later tach adds weight to my theory, though of course these can be changed as easily as a strap.

Both is possible... as he owns a better and "real" 2915-1 as he admits in his listing this particular watch might have been a parts donor for the "better" one (could have been a project watch as well)... hence the mismatch and poor condition of the parts - just a thought
