If someone wants a 1st generation pie-pan with cal. 505 in steel, one couldn't do much better for this money...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/omega-const...iber-automatic-24JEWELS-VINTAGE-/151389908294Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Dial is a bit better than normally seen on these, but far from perfect. Case is better than average. Movement looks clean, although I would assume it needs a service.

    Hope someone here buys this,

Rotor axle is worn and loose, keep it in mind before you click.

when it's worn and too loose, the rotor will touch the case back, the movement and it cannot move around freely as it should.

Still don't know what market value really is on these atm, I've only seen auction house ones go and a couple beat up / incomplete examples on the bay usually with wrong bezels, this one looks like its taken a good dent to the top but at least its the right colour.

I agree - seems a bit high to me as well.

I suspect same but dont see any clear evidence yet of anything untoward.

Yes, hands should be broad arrow ones on this serial, changed around '65.
My 165.024 with about same serial; 24.71x, has broad arrows + same type bezel and is original.
My 165.024-64 with serial 23.7x has stick hands and early bezel
On the other hand, could be okay. These transition phases are allways full of "if's". Lume and rest of the watch looks okay and correct.
Prices are also climbing for the SM300's, but yes, this one is a bit on the top side.
