Aaarrggghhh! I've gotta stop clicking on those links! I hadn't considered Longines before for my late 60s & 70s collection! At least this one will get away, he doesn't ship international !

Interesting - a redial, but still quite a watch. I'd have to look up the caliber to compare it before anyone made a bid.
OK, I'm gonna go full noob here (I know - everybody knows you never go full noob). You can redial an enamel dial? I thought the pigment was baked in.
I'm pretty sure anything can be redialed. Something about that font looks too modern to me. I'll have to check my reference material to see what I can dig up on this.
Not sure of the procedure , there is a re-dialer in Ohio (I think Ohio) That has all (most) of the old Hamilton dies and specs. You'd have to check with the Vintagewatch forum guys.
I think this one is OK but I'm sure Dennis will correct me if I'm wrong. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-1952-L...423433441?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item5d3b18b4e1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I reckon there is far too many fishes in the ocean Focus is my everyday motto.... méthode Coué ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Émile_Coué ) ... ... ... for what it's worth ...
That's a correct watch - except for the aftermarket buckle, that is. The serial number dates it to late 1959, which is correct for the date at 12 (late '59 to very early '61). The best part of that watch is that the caliber is probably one of the factory franken 291's that used some bridges and plates from excess 294 parts. Anders has one too. They're actually less rare than you think, but still a neat curiosity. I'm not too keen on the dial condition though.
No reason to stay focused, friend. Live a little. Act on impulse. You don't need to be zeroed in on every plum Zenith that comes to market.
