Redial? Really? Looks original to me--lume is certainly original and hard to redo the print w/o removing the lume, IMO. Fonts also look correct for the "jumbo" 565.
    Best,

My dad's old Omega de ville 18k he gave me when I defended my masters thesis last October. He bought it on a trip to Israel in 1971, but I think the model itself is from 1966. image.jpg Half a year later, and I've 4 more omegas in my little collection. It's a lovely hobby.

This one was given to me about 20 years ago having be dropped on the rocks and bounced into the sea - I could not let it die. Had it cleaned and seviced together with new face and hands - it lives again

    This one was my first.
Bought it as NOS, and enjoyed as it for two months.
Then I started reading forums like this, and realized it was a redial.

I wish I had some great story about how this was handed down to me , or how I came to own it, but no. This was my first, and won't be my last, vintage Speedmaster.

Here is my SM300, as an intro to a video I made. I think it's a '67. All original.

I was so caught up on all the options out there when I first got into it online, I ended up buying 2 at the same time!

    First was a redialed 1950 Seamaster 2577 cal. 351
    SM 2577-1.jpg

The other was an all original 1955 Seamaster 2846-2848 cal. 490

This is the one that started it all seven years ago, I think conservatively there have been between 100 and 150 since, there are currently 22 and I love them all (with another 4 incoming)

Well, it's not rose gold, but...
My saved search for "back doorPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network" finally came through for me. :whipped:
Not sure what is more disconcerting - object description or seller name - but it will have to do. :p

Hello, I found this site by accident playing on my new Galaxy Tablet after downloading Tapatalk. I am surprised, I had not found it previously; however, I am thoroughly enjoying the site. Now without any further delay, I will introduce you to my first and only vintage piece.

Here are some pictures from the seller (they are so much better than mine).

I had to remove the original 1039 bracelet since my wrist is a little too big and the elasticity feature was not evident (broken). Additionally, the quality seems poor, reminded me of the old coke can lids to be honest. Regardless, it is my second favorite watch in my small fledgling collection after my IWC Big Pilot 5002 - 01 and a birth year watch. I confess, I must get around to purchasing the 1170, but I really enjoy it on the NATO. By the way, I am aware the bezel is not correct to the time period and perhaps the crown & pushers, although certainly Omega. However, if you guys know where I can procure the correct parts (NOS), I would much appreciate the info. Thanks for looking and have a great day!!!

    Cheers,

    Enezdez

Glad you found us! And yea the '67 should have a dot above 90 bezel originally, and you're not wrong about the 1039 bracelet, its known to be flimsy, that's part of why they cost so much, because most of them are long gone.

I bought this Tresor just over 2 years ago. First Omega, also by far the oldest watch c. 1953 (at that time) I'd ever bought. It changed my view of Omega and vintages. A great watch, even if a very simple one. Lovely to look at, a good size at 38 mm, simple, elegant, and always dependable. Maybe the best value I every had! Been joined by a few others sine wristscan_image.2567288.jpg
