If this was a normal ETA 7750 there could be an issue, because the date mechanism on that movement is not very forgiving (depending on the condition of the safety mechanism, which are more often than not seized up).
However when Omega used this as the base movement for the Cal. 3330, they made changes to the dial side of the movement to relocate one sub-dial hand, and in the process changed the date mechanism also. This one uses a spring loaded finger to change the date rather than the rigid finger used on the 7750, so even if you did change it at the wrong time, you are fine. I wouldn't keep doing it, but the chances it did any damage are very slim.
