    Good evening,
I need your kind suggestion - I tried to upload a picture, in all the possible formats (jpg, gif, png...) and sizes.
It doesn't work. I only see a picture with a cat and the text,

    The following error occurred

There was a problem uploading your file.

    OSP-2.png

May I ask your kind assistance?

    Best regards,

    Marco

The dreaded error cat! They were doing an upgrade on the servers today maybe your troubles had something to do with that. They are finished now..I'd try again and see if your issues are cleared up.

Can you try doing a full cache clear and trying again, we moved servers last night and there might be some issues for another 12 hours as the change propagates

Sometimes merely logging in off and signing on again fixes this.

Hi all, I am sorry to bother you, but happened again. I have a screenshot of the cat's message - but of course, I can't upload it... :-(

Hmm now big was the file? Was it a large image?

The first 4.1 mb, the second 1.8... But now I cut the cat (I mean, the screenshot!) at 200 kb and doesn't work anyway. Of course I have an ADSL line, all working normally, I am also updating my own website.

Just did a quick test, I'll check our logs to see what's up, what browser and OS are you using?

Thanks dsio for your immediate reply. I am on my MacBook Pro, using Firefox. OS X version 10.9.2.

Interesting, that's the latest versions for both so that can't be a problem, can you try Chrome briefly? I'm installing FF 28 to try to replicate the issue. See if you can upload those images to this thread using Chrome.

It seems to work with Safari... Now I will check with Chrome, I have to install it.

Now I also have Chrome on board...

Damn, it works. Seems a Firefox issue - unfortunately, that is my favorite browser...

Here's an interesting question, if you open firefox and go file -> new Private Window and then log into omegaforums and try uploading in that window, does it still show an error?

Yes, just tried. It doesn't work anyway, with Firefox. Strange indeed. Maybe a plugin issue?

Its possible, wonder if its because flash is being blocked or something in FF (the uploader unfortunately does use flash as there's no other way to upload multiple files nicely).

Very strange. Anyway, we may confirm that everything works correctly with Chrome and Safari. Will try to download new patches for Firefox, but at present it seems already updated. Anyway, thank you indeed, dsio - following your kindest advices I have been able to give my little contribution to this thread... :)
