A little examination of design DNA for your consideration.

    the contenders: A late 1960's ref A277 and a 1988-89 DeLuca I

Shows what an amazing movement the EP is. The case on the DeLuca looks thinner than the manual.

Very handsome pairs !!! The telephone subdial gives subtle vintage hint to A277. Combined with cleaner dial design it won me over the EP deluca counter part.

Great pair. Love the later Zeniths too. And I dig that paperweight!

Thought it was a tray with parts in it. That is cool.

From my vast collection of Zenith tchotchkes...display stands from the late Nataf era. Remember the ads with the exploding movement?

Very 70s!-- I like 'em. And if you are ever in desperate need for a part...

Two great watches, Lou. I've desired them both. I prefer the more simple look of the non-tachy A277, yet the DeLuca I is currently en route to me. Looking forward to seeing it in person.

Don't think that hasn't occurred to me.
