As someone who is basically a hoarder and tends to part with very few pieces I am probably fortunate to have only one piece I have let go and quite quickly realised it was a mistake :(
If any would like to own up and show some dearly departed it may at least make me if not others feel better.
    My mistake ?

Thankfully, no regrets, I'm new enough I haven't sold anything, yet.
Taddy - selling that SM300, ouch ::facepalm2:: :whipped:

I've sold more than a few I now regret:
    lemania saaf
    lemania rn series 3
    zenith land and water
    tudor 7928
    breitling superocean ref. 2005
    .......
adding pictures would only help prolong the depression.

    I never regret sales.

The ones I regret are purchases not made.

Since this is an Omega thread, I should add that I too have sold off an Omega 6b '56 recase. Those blue hands on Alpha's old example are lovely.

Wooha.. I really feel for you there. I was so close to buying one of these today, had been negotiating the past 3 days., But learnt of some serious health issues with my wife today, so had to pull out. The only Omega I seriously think my "collection needs".. (That's a euphemism stated to same said wife for "I want...")

Near every Omega I ever sold, I wish I hadn't..

    2531.80
    IMG_0458.JPG

3510.50 Yep, IMHO a lovely little watch.. Especially when worn by my wife beside my 3570.50. (But she takes her watches off when at home, and I tired of setting it..)

    Omega Speedmasters 29102010_IMG_0963.JPG

And then my Tag Heuer Monaco..
(A sh*t to photograph,) and no reason to sell, especially being my only Square dial, Like the 2531.80 was my only Blue dial... I now think more than twice before selling.. Anything..

I think it's human nature to miss a watch when you move it on. I like to think they have gone to a home where they will be more appreciated.
I do regret trading my 3575.20 and Gemini IV though, they will be much more difficult to re-purchase than the 2254 I just sold.

I am about as far from a flipper as you can get I think. I usually research watches I buy a lot before I buy them, so I have never had any sort of buyer's remorse, and never felt the need to flip a watch soon after buying it. All of the watches I have owned and eventually sold on, I have owned for several years before selling them (with the exception of some less expensive watches).

I am a bit the same on the selling side - before I decide to sell a watch it's considered for a long time before I put it up for sale. So I have never really regretted selling a watch, or wanted it back after I sold it. I really don't think about them much after I've sold them, unless I see them posted somewhere...like my Sinn 356 Flieger II that shows up here on occasion.

    Cheers, Al

Every now and then I get used to a great watch and tend to see it in a less favorable light - any minor flaw seems to grow a little in my head. It's kind of stupid, I know, but this is my reality. And in the course of years I've sold some watches that are still dear to me, both being some rare Sinn's:

The only one I've sold that I've (somewhat) regretted was this one; it's been subsequently (and consecutively) owned by 2 other forum members...
