·Alarm springs are tough to come by, and it helps to know a watchmaker that knows how an alarm works. Other than that they're regular bumpers or manual winds.

I gotta see that. Check the bracelet for their logo - a ram's head. It should be on the clasp somewhere.

·Yes, at least half again and often twice the cost of a simple time only, and their complexity can be a challenge for a watchmaker unfamiliar with them.
Yes, some parts are nearly impossible to find and if you think parts for an Omega are costly, parts for a LeCoultre can be downright obscene.
