Well, a year ago, October 14th, 2012 to be precise, I introduced myself into this forum without too much expectation. I just got a taste of high quality mechanical watch after only using quartzes and digitals since I was in High School. I bought my first 3 swiss watches in Sept 2012 which Omega clearly caught my attention. I just didn't realize how far this forum bring me to the fascinating world of collecting vintage and modern Omega. From a guy who can not tell the difference between manual winding and automatic or what are lugs into somebody who are able to discuss matching movement serial number in certain case and telling the originality of a dial by checking the font type and edge of script. And boy I am still learning a lot every day. So thank you to all of Omega Forum members who enable me enjoying this hobby.
Dude, you have acquired quite the collection in only a year! Glad we could be of assistance, and great to have you here. ps - what reference is your black crosshair dialed Seamaster?
I think you have had a very successful journey through time so far......Great of you to share your collection with us buddy! But my question is...What will 2014 bring?
Lovely watches but I assume the fun you have had collecting them, together with the knowledge you have acquired, are equally important in the grand scheme of things. A great year! R
Just as long as you know the key word in that whole post is "enable." Really excellent collection my friend...and all done in a year, impressive!
Dennis......thank you.....I learn a lot from you. My black dial crosshair Semaster is in service now. Once back I'll look up for you.
Thanks....now it is time to put restrain, doing better pacing and following 'condition, condition, condition' advice.
Very true...... The happy part is not exaggerated at all. I thanked my wife for being understanding to my new capital intensive hobby. I try to keep perspective on bank balance vs watch balance . Within the right community, certain Omega vintage watch is almost as good as cash...... plus I have all benefit of a hobby. With bank balance....well even it is useless to take picture of the deposit receipt.
...well, let's see then. I am not finished yet with vintage Constellation line and Speedy line wish list .
