Hi All After the Constellation Ibn Saoud i just buy this Omega Seamaster Melbourne 1956 "IN ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION " Omega, “Seamaster XVI” Ref. 2850SC. Made for the XVI summer Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956. Fine and rare, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K gold wristwatch with an 18K gold Omega buckle. Accompanied by the original Paper and box. Two-body, solid, polished, downturned lugs, hexagonal winding crown, flat bezel, snap-on back engraved: “Seamaster XVI Automatic ” with embossed Olympic crest in the center. D. Cream with applied gold faceted dart indexes and gold Roman XVI at 6, inner minute/second divisions. gold dauphine hands. M. Cal. 471, copper colored, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Personally, I'd like to see better shots of that dial before making any comment. And is it just me or is that bezel missing?
It is lacking focus, isn't it? This time it's you. Watch was aggressively polished at one time though. Very minor issue, as you just don't see full box, buckle and papers packages with these outside the Omega Museum. Nice purchase! gatorcpa
Very interesting to note that Omega were still using case numbers (here at 11422333) in 1956 - presumably for certain gold cased models only.

It's great if you are fond of puzzles! You get a glimpse here, and a glimpse there, and then you just have to put the pieces together. A very interesting package, but if it was a sales ad, I personally would have moved on
