And the penny drops - this guy (AKA 'Rollme') was causing me grief over on TRF as well. I don't think he likes reasoned argument - I don't like his attitude, and I know full well he won't be here for anything constructive
I have both the Apollo 11 and the Soyuz bought new from and AD and I love them both, in fact I have the Apollo 11 on now.
Hi Great review! I was wondering if anyone could tell me the original S.R.S.P.of these Apollo 11, 40th Anniversary sets sold for complete, in Omega retail store?
There's a quote called "Old is Gold". Well, this is so true. Omega is an old brand yet the design is so elegant and worth having one! Amazing shots
Excellent review - I saw a used one of these for sale at a local watch shop, it was in superb condition, and whilst it didn't have the box and papers, they guaranteed it as authentic (later verified by an AD). Having read the review, I went and bought it - cost £2k (approx US$2600). It's a beautiful watch and the one I usually wear t work on a black strap... As soon as I get enough posts, I'll ask on the WTB section for a box..
The Apollo XI 40th was one of my very first Speedies purchased as-new but I later sold it because it never got any wrist time from me when I turned to collect the pre-moons. I guess it's was because of the size and weight. Still miss it but the collecting goes on
BUMP. 1st review on the forum. Interesting follow-ups on what was available in the stores. (Random troll, soon dealt with.) Still like this 40th.
Thanks for bumping this thread from the early days. And what a time capsule it is! Random rolex trolls, LE speedmasters unallocated and going for cheap... it'd be great to see more of these classic threads come up occasionally
