I am turning 21 in a few months and am purchasing the watch in the title of this thread. I can't decide however between the blue and the black dial (212.30.41.20.03.001 or 212.30.41.20.01.003)... I am new to omega watches (this will be my first properly nice watch) and so what are people's opinions? Will one or the other retain value better because of the colour? Which looks better?

I am leaning towards the black but could be pursuaded.

I don't think either color will affect potential resale. It would have to be a really off the wall hue to cause it to be less valuable. Personally, I like blue dials but you can't go wrong with black.

 

I prefer the blue dial in this case.

 

I am a blue dial fan but on this particular watch I'd have to go with the black dial...

 

I love Omega's blue dials. The black is a classic, too -- you really can't go wrong. Try both on, and be sure to post pics of the one you wear home!

 

I prefer the blue. The black looks like too many other companies with the same design. Sorry if anyone has the black.

 

I like the 212.30.41.20.03.001. Black is for the 2254.50.

 

Both are wonderful but I think you'll get tired of the blue before (my opinion, of course). The black one seems more classical, timeless and a every occasion watch and it's a color that matches any outfit, right ?

 

I like blue but when I saw the black one in person I must say either one is gorgeous!!!

 

I like the black. Eventually I would love to get the blue at 38.5 to be a dressier option.

 

Ironic I was going to private message you. I saw the black in person. And I like that more. The smaller blue would be a good dressier version.

 

The blue watch I actually am talking about is the skyfall aqua terra at 38.5.

 

Gotcha I have the 41.5 AT in blue it's nice wish it was bigger though for me that is

Blue, absolutely...

 

Black. It's like the little black dress every woman should have. Goes with every occasion. I wear mine with the stainless bracelet for classy bling and with a Hirsch Medici leather strap for casual...I find the black dial works great with the ceramic bezel.

 

Get the blue..just my.opinion ...I have the blue dial and it takes my breath away everytime I look at it....well...I also have the blue aqua racer and blue link...lol

 

I'm a bit bias since I bought the black just last weekend. Black gets my vote too.
