What do you think, is the dial repainted?

Do you have any close ups? I'd vote original...

You'd be suprised at some of the discrepancies Omega had in their printing.. I think the only way to tell for sure is some macro shots. I have had a very similar watch which I'm sure was original and it had this slightly off centre Omega text. I think the printing method is different on these linen dials...

I have a similar situation with my 60s Omega deville with a linen dial. I have it for sale described as a redial simply because the print is slightly thicker than on my other Omegas from this period. I would also say the font is slightly different. Other than that the dial and print is of excellent quality.
Any chance this dial is original Omega?

The SWISS MADE is too far apart. A dead giveaway of a redial. Otherwise it looks like nice work.

Are you sure? I see no other signs of a redial. The watch seems to be in excellent condition with original crown. Original hands with no sign of oxid or corrosion. It's hard to see the logic behind a redial. As we all know it's extensive wear and moisture that kill dials

Yep. Owned and/or handled hundreds of late 50's to late 70's Seamasters and Seamaster DeVilles and it wasn't until the early/mid 70's that the SWISS MADE was so far apart on a regular basis on Seamasters (particularly the dive watches). There are a few exceptions, but neither of the above watches are the correct reference to be one. I feel safe in saying all of the SMDV's have a layout like this:

Notice how the SWISS MADE is biased slightly so the space is more to the 5:00 side?

Here's one notable exception - the Sparkle:

The owner of the watch has now taken the new photo of the dial.
Are we sure that it is completely original?
    I think so.
    What do you think?

It is very difficult to replicate the linen dials. I vote original on that one.
