Now if I could only find a minty 145.012 I'd be set...CAUTION - Timely content again.

Your favorite Timely obsessed forum member is back.;)

I'm half way through my obsession with tracking down a set of calendars for each of the prime Apollo years. I've just finished of the trifecta of early Apollo years. Now I need '70, '71, and '72.

If I could only track down a 145.012 it would compliment my new set of 1967 calendars nicely.

Your madness, er, sorry, GAMEPLAN, sounds a bit like mine. I want the references that touched the moon: 105-003.65, 105.012-65, and 145.012.67. I am 2/3 there, with a lovely 105.012-66 thrown in for sex appeal.

    Nice work again TLIGuy.

Suitably inspired by your last posts I had a bit of a Timely feeding frenzy just before Christmas myself.
It's a nice, cheap way to "stay in the game" when you can't afford new watches any more.

I'll put up some pictures after work.
It's quite interesting to see how they swapped the layout back and forth between portrait and landscape over the years.
I think all of mine have some kind of advertising on them. How about yours? I like the "egg timer" on your '69's.
I'm also intrigued by the bigger packaging on your '68 set. Little things please little minds. :)

Funnily enough I "spotted" your new '67 set last night while back testing a new eBay search and was a bit disappointed that I'd missed them but at the same time I hoped it was you that nabbed them. Then woke up this morning and saw your post

I had a try negotiating for these (not Timely?) as they include my birth month October '68 (Apollo 7) and December '68 (Apollo 8) but had no joy.

Maybe someone with better skills might take a crack.

I was pretty thrilled when I saw the 67's show up last week. I was glad I could get them for my collection.

I would be interested in seeing what you have found. I have seen a few with office advertising on them but not complete or in good condition. The three sets I have do not have any advertisements on the packaging. Interesting you point out the egg timer looking logo on the 1969 set. The packaging has no reference to it. I thought it was an interesting addition to the print. Now I wonder where these may have been distributed to.

Also, interesting catch on the larger packaging of the 1968 set. I would think that the packaging would get smaller to reduce the production cost but it goes smaller in 67' to larger in 68'. Who knows.

Interesting link to the BSA set. That price is crazy.

Some of these collection themes hit too close to home!

Time Exposure's Trifecta above sounds all too familiar.

You know, if that wasn't true, it wouldn't hurt so much!

Ever been curious how much a set would go for if listed/marketed 'properly'* referencing Omega Speedmaster, JB Champion mesh and throwing in a couple of NASA pictures?
Same $ per gram as No.6 end pieces???
 (couldn't find the Bond villain smiley)

Maybe we wait until you complete your collection first ;) might even cover the cost of those you keep!

    * I fully realise that these were never intended solely for the Speedy but hung at 5 & dime checkouts for all of watch wearing kind.

pps: earlier this week I did see your old posts on WUS and have great respect for what you did there.

One of the advertising sets that we both missed.

Does TAB still exist over there?
Interesting that this is a 1968-69 set. I think one of mine is '67-'68, so not all sets ran January to December.

Thanks for the pictures of what you have acquired. Very nice collection. Let me know if you are looking for a particular month to actually use to dress up your JB if your interested. If you are like me, you won't want to use one of the new unused ones. My fist set was a collection of misc. months from 1968-1972. They are all used but in great shape an dive flattened them out nicely.
