They aren't happy about it. Apparently the owner was arguing with Swatch to get them to reverse the decision. It'll put a big hole in their restoration work.

I'm sorry but i am a real newbie to all this. But was is a Cat 4? For that matter what are the categories, I didn't even know there were different ones. Also is the any where to decipher all these new acronyms and abbreviations i have never seen before?
    P.S. I hate being the new/stoopid guy.

Here is the link to the omega site. Keep in mind the prices quoted here are starting prices and the actual cost can be considerably more.

You should look into Nesbit's in Seattle. They are Omega authorized and have a good reputation with vintage watches. My 911 flightmaster is with them right now.
FWIW, I'm also in NY, but have no problem shipping it cross country.

If you can find me a nice 1039 bracelet and endlinks for a few hundred I'll buy two

Those certainly aren't current prices for a cal 321 bought in Europe.

A couple of years ago those prices were definitely valid but demand has gone up quite a lot since 2011/2012 and prices especially in Europe and here in Australia have gone up quite considerably for 321 Speedmaster and parts, even more so for earlier models like 105.002/003 and 2998s.

Both of those are missing several stretch links and neither has the correct endlinks, one has no endlinks and the other has 617s

The second one also misses the narrower of the non-stretch links on one side.

The first one sold for above $3650 and the second still needs a 1039 which in good condition with endlinks won't leave you much change from 4k if you can get any change at all.

At the risk of repeating my earlier comments in this thread, I inspected the watch carefully at the auction and it was easily an above average example. The pictures do not do it justice.

Seems it's an excellent example if I understand prior posts. + the overexposed photo looks to me OP has a very nice, really a NICE example. IMHO OP got a great watch for price paid. Though... Buying from this forum usually best Price. We don't charge any premium here :) as an auction house where it was purchased.
