    Hello fellow Omega watch lovers,

I have been hanging out on the forum for a while and trying to do my homework on such a great brand. I have to say I have fallen hard on Omega watches big time. I am drawn to the 1950's era Omega Seamasters in particular. I just recently won a Seamaster on Ebay. I took the huge risk and probably a big NO NO and bid on a model with no pictures on the movement. I just received it and was quite surprised at how beautiful it is. It came from a safe deposit box owned by a watch maker in Florida. Below are the stats on this Omega Seamaster model. The movement looks to be in pristine shape and function perfectly. I took all these pictures myself.

    Omega Seamaster Automatic
    2869-5 SC D
    500 Caliber
    16689157

I tried looking it up but the 2869 doesn't seam to show up much online. What do you guys think? legit good shape? I got it for under $300.

At a quick look, id say well done! There will be differing views on the level of patina on the dial, but congrats on getting thus, rather than a shiny, perfectly clean redial!
