    Thanks to the blessings of online bidding, local auction houses worldwide is now available.
    I am not normally focused on military watches, but my soft spot for Eterna has kept me looking out for a WWW aka "Dirty Dozen" watch.
    The one below came up at anything but a watch related sale, and kicking in a modest commission bid provided results!

    Not much to go on picture wise, and it will have a stop over at WatchGuyUK before heading this way, but I have good feelings for this one.
    My first issued watch!::psy::

    Will be celebrated later this evening with at least a couple of beers! ::beer::

    Congrats! I am a fellow WWW lover as well, although I am thinking about selling my Vertex since it gets almost zero wrist time these days.

    They do have an appeal to them - simple layout and clean lines I guess. Sort of like the appeal of a Panerai, but without the massive size.

    Are the fixed bars still intact? If so a NATO works well, or if you prefer not to use one of those you will need a good strap that can be used on fixed bars - I currently have the Vertex on a Jurgens strap. Very well made straps.

    Cheers, Al

    I do believe the fixed bars are intact. Hard to say as I have not have the chance to inspect the watch in hand.
    From the images I assume that the currently install strap is an "open ended" strap. Time will tell;)!

    I have a couple of handmade NATO straps lying in the box. Will try them on. Yours do also look nice on the braided strap!

    The braided NATO's are nice because they have no set holes - you put the tang through the braids so it's almost infinitely adjustable for the perfect fit.
