I wanted an Omega with this type of dial for a long time. This one ticked al the boxes for me. I know the crown is not original but I will find a spare one. The watch seems to be in all original and fair condition. If you have comments let me know what you think of it..

Doesn't look too bad. Regulator is retarded to the max to slow it down though.

A watch running too fast usually means it needs a good clean and regulate.

    I'd get it serviced ASAP.

    Cheers

I think the hands are correct. I have seen a few around the last couple of years with the same hands. You are right that most of the watches from the same series have the hands as seen on your photo.

What decade is this from? The fifties perhaps.

Have to respectfully disagree with you Simon. That style of hands is called "Alpha", and they are optional on some styles of Omegas, maybe even that one.

However, the shape of the hands on your watch are much different that the correct Omega ones. The only watch you showed above that IMO has original Omega hands is the last one. That one is probably 10 to 15 years newer than the one you bought.

Fortunately, a good watchmaker should be able to find you the proper Omega hands without too much trouble.

You'll probably want the #14 Dauphine.
