This vintage Longines came up for sale locally. I'm not familiar at all with Longines watches or calibres but does this look like a redial? (I suspect it is). Or worse still, is it a franken (which it well may be!) given there aren't that many jumbo-sized vintage Longines.

Any info would be welcome, thanks guys!

Yes, a redial I would say. Not a bad job of it, but too clean of a (white) dial to be reasonably consistent with the age of the watch.

A look at the subdial is a clear give-away IMO.

    Thanks guys!

David, when you say the subdial is a giveaway, is it because the subdial markers are just a tad too long, causing the markers and the second hand to overlap when the second hand crosses?

The font of LONGINES is wrong for the era and the S is spaced too far apart from the rest of the word. David is correct about the poorly defined edges of the subdial too.
