Hello everyone, SOLD is this beautiful Longines automatic wristwatch in stainless steel, reference 7844, automatic calibre 345 with date function. 35mm diameter without crown. SOLD is €375 shipped to EU / UK destinations. PayPal accepted. See at the end for shipping information. The case is in great condition, not overly polished. Still shows sharp edges and its original brushed finish on the caseback. The caseback has an inscription: TT 7-3-44-69, suggesting this watch may have been a presentation piece in 1969. The crown has been replaced with an unsigned specimen at one point in its history. Operation is smooth and without problems. The domed acrylic crystal is clean but has some light scuffs (not well seen or photographed) that could be polished out. The dial is in an excellent state, and is very clean. There is a little oxidation on the hour indices, which gives them a slight warm yellow tinge. There is some degradation on the hands as well. See close up photo below. This dial is fully original and never retouched or otherwise altered. Beautiful sunburst effect. Signed: Longines, Automatic. Date at 3. The movement is the Longines 345. First developed in 1965, it came from the 340 series, which was Longines' greatest achievement in automatic movements to date. Beating at 19.800 A/h, it is only 5mm thin. Interestingly, it features a toothed circle that keeps the rotor on track, helping to minimize wobble. It currently runs well but service history is not known. A check-up at the watchmaker is therefore recommended if the watch will be worn regularly. It features a date function (see below for instructions). Dimensions: 35mm diameter (not counting crown) 18mm lug width 41mm lug to lug 09mm thickness Semi-Quick Set Date Change mechanism: move hour hand past 24h to change date.
