Not very familiar with LeCoultre watches yet, but i have been looking for vintage Memovox and fell in love with this one on eBay.

The problem is that it doesn't really look that it is from the 1950's, is it a redial, fake or could it be really a genuine watch in this good shape? Another bad sign is that there are no bets yet.

It's a redial. Whenever you see a vintage watch from before 1970 with a black dial be suspicious of it regardless of brand, although LeCoultre did make quite a few. This particular one has a mismatched arc in LECOULTRE - it doesn't match the curve of the inner/outer dial edge.

The possible exception to this is Pierce. The longevity of their dials is legendary.

Thanks for the replies, this is what I suspected already, too good to be true.
