I rushed home today, hoping to catch the TNT delivery of my highly anticipated watch. I knew it was (or thought it was)signature on delivery, but much to my surprise, I found it already upon my door! [IMG]

I've been to Italy many times, but I didn't realize that, over there, I'm considered a resident of 'Stati Uniti'![emoji2] ...still learning[emoji106]

Not to worry, the funny 'spots' above the seconds subdial are merely a reflection of a chandelier...

Now I am very glad I intercepted this package when I did...it's more beautiful than I had imagined....

So bright package with big orange letters. I can only assume they stand for, "Take New Timepiece"

    Hi dougiedude,

Congratulations on the arrival of that beautiful Zenith it looks stunning and I think its really lucky that you went home and found it in time as by the TNT label that is showing it looks like it wasn't even insured. Anyway wear it in good health and enjoy it.

You are right, it wasn't insured. And no signature confirmation... I was simply negligent by not assuring those things, so that means 'luck' was on my side!

Recently, I did ask my insurance company if this scenario is insured (and I also read the fine print to confirm), but apparently, the extra insurance I own covers my watches as long as there is tracking confirmation... if I were an underwriter, though, I'd also require owner signature confirmation! My USPS mailman thinks signature confirmation means he and only he, has to sign:eek:!! ::facepalm1:: ...

Anyway, I'm enjoying her alot, and I will do so even more so as soon as I obtain a more appropriate strap (thinking brown lizard)...

Thanks, Ed. I finally took it off today.

It looks like the Marvin just arrived in New York only moments ago, so I am really hoping it will make it here tomorrow; otherwise, I will have to wait a week!

Fantastic looking time piece now things have been pointed out to me, the hands, winder and other details scream out. I'm going back to candles, I was dealing with a coin dealer in the USA and the postal service left over a pound llb of gold bullion on his doorstep ! Doh !

I could step in here and say something like, "isn't it about time you gave on of them up" but I will resist the temptation.;)
