I'm looking at this JLCM to complete my JLC list. Is this JLCM refinished or otherwise one to avoid OR IS IT OKAY to buy? Your comments and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! http://www.ebay.com/itm/221441233299?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I would need to see other angles on the dial. The "Jaeger-LeCoultre" seems awfully close to the 12 o'clock markers. I think there is "Swiss" or "Swiss Made" at the bottom, but can't tell for sure. I would be wary of only "Swiss". These markings were country specific based on the date of manufacture (late 1950's), so I would need to know where the watch was originally sold. Case and movement look correct and clean. Not sure if crowns should be signed. Since this looks pre-1958 (no "JL" logo), their are probably correct. For $65 shipping, I want would want my favourite Canadian, Shania Twain to hand deliver it. gatorcpa
Thanks Guys!! So far so good. I like this but wondering if a good collectible example? And is this a good price range? I'm not sure so want to check
Collectible? Can't say for sure with these early manual winds what is and isn't a franken. I've seen so many combinations it'll make you dizzy.
Probably. That was done so that one could properly position the watch in the dark if you wanted to see the time. gatorcpa
