Indeed there is. I just hope that he will refund me. The sad part about it is that he will sell it to someone else that may not notice these discrepancies

Correct, unfortunately. But we can hope that more people achieve enlightenment via these fora.

Thats better. Looks nice. Wrong rehaut, (sliver line around the edge of the crystal). it should be black not silver - or it could be the photo and i am wrong. Anyway the '003's have the black as opposed to the silver which is fitted to 002's and 2998's. a small point, but if it is silver then it indicates an ignorant seller. Sorry, i obviously mean a less informed seller.

the dial looks correct, and that is important. Case also looks good.

It is definately worth considering, however budget a proper service, I am sure it needs it.

Ask for higher resolution photos of the face and the movement.

The story ended well, full refund from the seller eventhough I'm sure he was crying when handing back the money...
Sad thing though, the watch is for sale again on chrono24 for the same price. Let's just hope nobody will pick it up

Ok. If the stem came out with the crown it is probably not your fault. Either the screw that holds the setting lever is loose or the setting lever itself is worn or maybe the stem is worn. I'm not a watchmaker but unless you are the hulk the crown and stem should not just pull out. It is hard selling vintage watches though, you never know when something will go.
The fact that the dial was not described as refinished should be enough to send it back.
Cheers Mick

just have the crown and stem refitted before you send back. have a receipt for that. to reduce any arguments. your re-fitting costs will be a reminder to do research before you buy. take pictures before you ship and have a witness stating, that the watch worked fine before shipment. send registered with internet tracking ( EMS). that should work. kind regards. achim

I sent it back without getting it fixed, and have gotten a full refund. So problem solved 😁

It is a decent example. It doesn't have the correct bezel. The dial looks good. The hands are correct and match the dial. The case is in good shape. The movement looks good, at least from what I can see in the photo. A proper bezel will set you back a few hundred. Priced a bit high but not out of sight. You might check out their website. They always have 321s for sale.

Go to the german language page. The English one doesn't have a link for Omega.
