I am reluctant to participate, because I don't believe in monorologamy, but, gun to my head, this one:
This is my first Omega, so I am currently a one watch guy. I have lusted after this for many years and I'm delighted with it! Apologies for the shameless pun, but it is timeless in my opinion. JB
Yes, generic Hong Kong oyster. Endpieces were a poor fit. No idea if proper ZJs will work with the bracelet.
A watch for global warming believer......... and the right tool for solar electro magenetic storm preparer ...
this is would be mine. Ref 5500 AK. Sleek, classic, uncomplicated. It tells the time and looks good in any situation
If only one watch then I'd keep my rolex datejust. Still good after 17 years of hard abuse, it even survived a nasty car crash in which i broke 8 ribs, spent 42 days in ICU and trashed my car. The watch got thrown out of the car during the violent roll and landed some 15m away, chipped the steel case but no other damage at all. Even the crystal survived, not a scratch
I loathe the thought of owning only one watch for the rest of my life. Two watches is the least I could live with; my 2254.50 and a 114060 or 14060m Submariner.
Mods should really just re-label the caption above to something like .... Time to drool .. or Have your hanky ready ( for gentlemen still use a handkerchief) .. or well, you get the point. Sooooo many amazing watches have been posted
