    Exactly!

I'm pretty sure that this watch has appeared on this forum in the past. If I remember correctly, there was also a debate about the markers hanging over the pie-pan creases.

I don't remember if or how that debate was resolved.

The sloppy glue alone would put me off , especially at that price.

No. Here is one of mine (checked for glue residue first before I posted the photo):

Omega dial hour markers (batons) are never glued, they are riveted in place. Therefore any apparent signs of glue (?) are a major alarm bell  And for such a price, everything must be perfect . . .

The seller is hoping a n00b will pay their n00b tax with his watch.

Thank I you guys. This really helped me. The info on marker being riveted and not glued are the detail I need to learn. Any other tips on learning about refinished and or repaired faces. Really having a hard time on spotting refinished. I am that n00b that almost got taken.

Just a little back round I been buying new Omegas for three years but just started to buy vintage two weeks ago.

Then you should not be playing around with Constellation pie-pans yet. This is kind of handing the keys to your new Corvette to your 16-year old. You are just asking for trouble.

Please read all the posts at Desmond's site before even attempting to try to purchase one of these watches.

FYI, it took me seven years to find just the right pie-pan where everything checked out,

Not a Deluxe version, but the price wasn't deluxe either.

In some circles, that can be arranged...especially for something as nice as that Connie! Very nice strap on that one.

    Thanks.

Which is why I would never take that one to New Jersey. I know what happens there!

Actually you can see this in pic 3: to the right of the centre hole you can see pairs of bumps, left to right the OMEGA text, the Omega sign and the 12 marker.
These are soldered (not riveted) here. With gold on gold that seems to make sense to me, but I leave it to the experts to judge whether this is original.
