All because shipping cost, customs brokerage fee and taxes would have added over $200 more to the price and I also hesitated about that brown stain on the dial. Would $1100 be a fair price for a 14k cal. 352 with rare dial and applied Omega logo? I already clicked on the BIN button, but then stopped for about 5 minutes and it was all over! Will be hard to go sleep tonight..:(

Good price for a plank dial and a Cal. 352 even though condition is not perfect. Was watching that one too. Moisture looks like it entered the watch at one time from the staining on the lefthand side of the dial and green tinting on the movement. Interesting dial...congrats to whoever bought it!

Sharp eyes, Kyle! Now you've mentioned it, the green tint must be the copper rust from the non Omega crown somehow had gotten all inside the watch and couldn't have been cleaned out. Still a very good price...

But that Connie must have been on for at least a few days and there was only 1 bid. The 352 was on BIN with Best Offer for couple of hours, got 2 offers then sold to one right before my eyes...

No brainer to buy that watch for $1100. I would have probably paid $1100 just for that dial.

Would feel a lot better knowing it was a forum member who picked this up.... It eases the pain a bit.

It actually feels good to me to share my pain here, not just joy, and I'm glad you guys like the idea also. It's also to learn from it too.

I was more concerned of the condition of the dial and that part of Mike's advice rather than the rarity/uniqueness part and didn't balance the two together. I was not alone though as Kyle was watching it and didn't like it. There was another person putting up an offer beside the winner, probably thinking it wasn't worth the asking $850 either.

    It really feels better now..:)

Another reason was, I compared this one to my first Omega and found it got a more unique dial and a higher valued 14k case, but I wasn't sure all that was worth $500 - $600 more than what I paid for my first collectible though.

About dials for cal. 352, I've seen and passed chances to buy 4 watches with a redial in the last 6 months, for about $600 or less. Not sure if that is silly or wise, but there's always a hope that one with an original dial would come up at the right price for me.

    Regards.

I overslept my alarm and missed an X-33 Topgun edition with an owner that's been on TV, documented combat history and mission patches etc that sold under $2k, when I was willing to pay up to $3k. Was very very annoyed. Trev was also pissed, he was going to bid if I didn't, and me oversleeping meant neither of us got it.

I tried Gixen once. It bid, but left a 30-second window for the next sniper. Was not impressed and I missed the item.
