Thought I'd let you know that I've just won the auction and paid for the watch.

I really look forward to receiving it as it seems a lovely untouched example. I'll get it serviced by the best place I can find, restore the crown to the original type and wear it carefully and sparingly.

Glad it went to someone from the forum... I hang out at a guitar forum and it's always nice to see people with a genuine passion snagging something good!

I don't know much about watches, but for her to remember she had it in a drawer after all these years was quite the surprise!

Let me know if you show it here on the forum, I would like to see it back to full glory...

If I get addicted to watches like this one, I'll be bankrupt in a matter of months! Then again, I was planning on making way for this one by selling one of my lesser watches, but now I'm not sure I can. These little ticking things I tell you...

Will take some good quality photos when it's all serviced and such, don't you worry. I'm not too great with the camera so may get my cousin who has a great camera to give it the photoshoot it deserves
