Can someone with some knowledge please take a look at http://www.ebay.de/itm/Omega-Seamas...soires_Uhren_Armbanduhren&hash=item2ed4423180Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network and tell me if this is a good deal under 600euro - i love the look of it. I went swimming with my other Seamaster (1968) at the weekend and totally ruined it, sad face!
Thanks for the feedback, this ebay malarky is a bit of a minefield. Any reputable dealers in EU anyone can recommend? would rather get i decent item and pay a little more!
Ive got about 500-1K euros for a replacement for my 1958 seamster - anything interesting im all ears.
well, i took the suit off me first, just forgot about the bloody watch, it was after a beer - still no excuses. I feel terrible about it. STUPID! its in the repair shop at the moment, im not holding my breath!
It was sunday - i went in first thing in the morning, by that time then enamel and 'glow in the dark' stuff and dissolved completely. Not to mention all the oxides floating around, real nasty.
It seems to hold water in pretty well - holding it out, not so much! Hope you don't mind if I save that photo for my clients who think they should be able to swim with a vintage watch like this... Sorry to see that and hope you find a nice replacement! Cheers, Al
