Would be enough for a "no way" for me. Sign of an incursion of some kind IMO.

I would have thought the movement would show some kind of degradation if the watch had suffered some water ingress.

Could have been from un-remedied condensation.

Looking at the seller's history, they don't seem to sell many of the items they list on eBay. They do ask for offers but they don't seem to reply to them very often. There may be some scope for you to arrange a deal with them based on having the hands replaced with GO service hands and a check on the integrity of the case by an independent watchmaker rather than one of their "Master Watchmakers".

The seller says that the hands have 'oxidised slightly '. He would be willing to change them. But why have they oxidised anyway?

Perhaps a bad gasket and some moisture got inside. Either way, (bad design or bad maintenance) this is frightening.

If it's any consolation, hands are one of the first things to go south. I have an otherwise mint Longines Diamond Dynasty caliber 370 that the only imperfection is the slight oxidization on the hands.

Still for sale. Seems I'm not the only one put of by the possible problem. Or maybe it's just the price.
