Is it me or do Fridays come around quicker than they used to Bristol, slightly neglected in British motoring history and wrongly so in my opinion - http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk...ibute4%%&att5=%%__AdditionalEmailAttribute5%%
Ferrari 250 Testarossa - Raced on LeMans back in the 60s. Owner sometimes takes it for a spin at the local "sports car club" gatherings around Oslo. Believe me when I say it is not only a visual pleasure to behold! The sound....... ("Borrowed" the pictures of the club pages. I hope they will let me live to see another day.....)
Yes the sound is truly a symphony Not an F1 follower but I hear there are ructions amongst the cognoscenti after the recent changes and now no longer the screams of previous years
Have not seen F1 in the flesh for some years, but from the telly the new engines sound like lawn-movers on acid.... Not nice at all! I think FIA has made another grave error of judgement in creating these new rules. F1 is now under certain circumstances even slower than F2. Whats the F point in that??
Today something special for the (early) Lancia lovers - http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk...ibute4%%&att5=%%__AdditionalEmailAttribute5%% More than a few bucks required
That's so cool! Early Lancia's really was way ahead of their time. The Lambda, produced from 1922, was the first car to feature a load-bearing monocoque type body, independent suspension ,shock absorbers and four wheel brakes! No other cars had any of these features back then! Truly innovative! RIP Lancia!
Even owned one for a short while. Hörman tuned 1992 16V. +250hp. Still one of my favorite drives ever. Difficult to explain but there was something close to magical in the balance and communication of those cars!
F1 Racing died years ago. I was a huge fan but not i don't even bother looking at the results. When i lived in Monaco i saw 3 races from various positions, a balcony overlooking the start line, Vijay Mallya's Yacht the Indian Empress but the Paddocks was far the best, the only thing that topped the race were the after parties! With all these new rules every year its lost touch.
The Mercedes Benz 540K, a true classic...when escaping Berlin for the Swiss border, its the only way to go!
It's Friday! In keeping with the "theme" of odd and special transport here is a Thema you have not seen too often. I did actually sit in one once, it was a nice place to be, but had to settle for my regular 2.0. Pitty Lancia is all gone by now! (The dashboard is one solid piece of polished wood!) http://www.carscoops.com/2010/12/classic-flashback-ferrari-powered-1986.html
All you need is some Beach Boys on the radio. http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/car-advert/ford/mustang/1964/250565/
