OK - you've all convinced me.....the museum edition Doctor's watch it is!!! (actually - I got to try this one on in Toronto last month --- it is Gorgeous!! blue hands, AR dial, 18k gold, and a pulsometer...I would use that everyday! -- except for the fact that I never wear the same watch 2 days in a row...)
Somebody trying to cash in on the black speedmasterPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network hype!!
Clever way to check demands immediately while building scarcity atmosphere. I will check Jakarta boutiques, whether they have allocation and whether somebody has placed order on it.
I'm thinking that if demand is high...we may find that this one becomes a boutique exclusive... I think the writing is on the wall for Omega....Luckily the boutique roll out in Canada is lagging behind - If i could get this one with any kind of discount, I am going to bite hard...
Yes, going by the AD here they do not want the market to be flooded with them. One dealer tried to order 5 in one go at the show he left with one order placement apparently, so they are being strict.
Hodinkee.com's just published an article on the Darkside: http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/thoughts-on-the-omega-speedmaster-dark-side-of-the-moon
Great write up! I don't think anything will stop me buying this watch! I love it greatly and I cannot wait to get it! I posed to question to the AD any idea of what the box will be like? No was the answer! I'm hoping its something like Grand Black Laquer wood with the speedy logo on it!
Boy, this one has really hooked you ! Can't say I blame you though... It might be tough to resist the cal 9300 Speedy 1957 Co-axial too
It's hard not to love it! I have owned a DLC watch before but over time the coating wears off especially on the clasp, that annoys me! With the Dark Side being Ceramic this will not happen. i love the 1957 also but for me that Dark Side has prevailed young Jedi's!
