Take a very close look at the next to last picture showing case back for this listing. It is marked 2990/1, but to my eyes appears to be a curved case back, unlike all flat case backs 2990/1 I have seen. (The rest of case is definitely not from a 2990/1.) Has someone started making fake cases/case backs for this ref or are my eyes deceiving me??? There is a ref 2890 with this shape of lugs but with a diameter of 36mm only, not 38mm Never heard of a larger Ranchero for the South American market...
Seller's 38mm could have include the crown? My point is the case back looks wrong to me. The 2990/1 has a flat case back with an unusual lip which fits into the case, thus making was more "waterproof". Take a closer look at case back please.
