May I ask why you recommend this watch?

Wasn't sure whether its a franken or not - if it is, most happy to delete the post.

Please inquire about watches for which you have questions or uncertainty in a separate thread. This thread is for recommended watches that have been examined and determined to be desirable, correct watches. I click on the recommended thread expecting to see watches I can be certain are legit. We both have questions/doubts about this one. Hopefully no one less familiar with vintage Longines (yet no less passionate) will throw a bid on this until it has received the forum experts' "blessing!"

    Thanks.
And to khmt2, I hope my post doesn't sound negative! It's hard to convey tone in the written word. If my post seems negative or rude, please forgive me as that is not my intention!

By the looks someone has taken a deluxe and melted the case, if you can find a legitimate case for it, it could be unfrankened potentially.

It's valuable for parts alone. The crown itself is a commodity.
