I've been interested in aquiring a CYMA watch for a while.

Although this is one is about twice as much as I'd be willing to spend, I would like to ask some opinions.

Does this dial look original to you? Clearly, it looks great, except for that squiggle below "CYMA". Perhaps a scrape?

    A comparable example is: http://chrono24.auctionata.com/en/o/48903/cyma-chronometer-wristwatch-switzerland-around-1950

Though, it's important to note that the one in the supplied auction has "swiss made", while the one in questions has just "swiss"

Sorry for the belated response, but I just found your post. I own three Cyma Chronometres, and in my judgement the one to which you linked is a redial. They've certainly done a good job, but I believe that the vertical cross-hair should not be broken, and there should be a different second track.

    Cheers,

    Tony C.

that the sale auctionata is a second smal, it is not the same movement, it is very beautiful. seems to me the dial of origin, if it is not done by a "michel ange"
