For your consideration, a Caravelle Seahunter 666ft 1970’s dive watch. The 666 ft water resistant marking gave it the nickname “devil’s Diver”.

Caravelle was “founded in 1962, Caravelle New York watches are designed by Bulova and inspired by New York, the fashion capital of the world.” (Caravelle Website). Here we have one of their vintage 1960’s watches, which always had a more edgy design than their Bulova cousins. The usually feature Swiss, German or Japanese quality movements. Caravelle watches are currently very undervalued even so this model is a WIS favorite.

The watch is in excellent used condition, runs well and is ready to be worn daily.

Dial: Black dial with tritium markers and lumed hands. The lume has acquired a pleasant dark beige patina. The dial has some minor paint loss at parts of the outer edge. The seconds hand is the more desirable lollipop.

Case: Stainless steel with signs of use consistent with age. Minor scratches are present.

Crystal: Minor scratches consistent with age, which do not distract reading time.

Bezel: Diver’s bezel with triangle at 0/60.

Case back; Stainless steel screw back.

Movement: 17J Citizen 11DP Japanese hand wound

Strap: Black leather strap with white stitching

    Size: L 44,6mm, W 36mm w/o crown, T 10.5mm

    Service history: Not Known

No box or papers are included

    Price USD $350 aIMG_4846.JPG IMG_4841.JPG IMG_4847.JPG IMG_4848.JPG IMG_4849.JPG IMG_4851.JPG IMG_4854.JPG IMG_4855.JPG IMG_4857.JPG IMG_4858.JPG IMG_4859.JPG IMG_4861.JPG

PayPal, Transferwise, cashiers checks and bank transfers are accepted. Please add 3% fees for PayPal payments. Shipping & handling is $15 CONUS and $40 for all other countries. Shipping is fully insured and of course the correct value will be used for custom purposes. If PayPal is used, I will ship only to verified addresses. I prefer to ship directly to the buyer, if other arrangements are made I will not be responsible after dropping off the shipment.

I have bought a few watches here on OF and I can provide you with feedback from EBay and Etsy if requested. The buyer may share feedback ratings on request.

Returns will not be accepted unless the watch is grossly different from the description. Please ask relevant questions before you commit to buying. After all, these are vintage and gently used watches.

Unfortunately, I am not a watchmaker and therefore cannot guarantee the future performance or water resistance of the watch. I do however try to describe the watch as accurately as possible. I wish this transaction to be win/win and I will do everything to make it so.

Thanks for your interest and to OF for the space and opportunity to post this FS ad.

I tried to get some natural light pics (thanks B for the suggestion) to help see the loss, which is hidden under the curvature of the domed crystal.
