The box was listed a while back on the germen eBay, but didn’t sell due to a way too high price. After weeks of negotiating, it finally came down to an acceptable level - and today it arrived. Except for a tiny dent, it’s in mint condition. A big minus is the missing inserts, though, and I wonder if someone here have a similar one with original inserts to show, so I can see what to search for? The size of the box is similar to the more standard ones – any chance the inserts were the same on them?

it is more likely to find an other silver box than an original insert!

Why? The inserts have mostly been thrown away and the nice boxes were used for cigars or similar...

But this insert from the other box does not look odd, so this will be an acceptable solution I guess

Yes, using the standard inserts is the way forward, but if possible, I'd still like to see a complete set

I am also hunting for an original insert (I have not much hope to find one) but I think I will use a replacement instead.

Paul, if you can make that crown, I'm sure you could fabricate an insert - not original, but surely better than a moth eaten sixty year old substitute?
