In his recent post about the Medico-Compax he recently picked up, Ben Clymer referred to a book on Universal Geneve by Sala. I was unfamiliar with this, so I looked it up online. It looks like a terrific resource, and for anyone else on this forum who was equally in the dark, I am happy to share the web site for the book. It is www.librouniversal.it
If anyone else owns the book, and can share more information on it, or ordering it, please do

Sala is an essential resource if you are serious about your UG chronographs and other complications. Purchasers should be aware that it doesn't include the three hand UG's, such as Polerouters, and the potted UG history that opens the volume is a cut-and-paste from Universal geneve:100 ans de tradition horlogere - a self-congratulatory volume that UG put out on the occasion of a single-brand auction at Antiquorum many years ago. Its not terribly reliable and sweeps the whole Martel story under the carpet.

no problem with ordering it - Editore Vallardi will happily send you a copy.

Thanks to LouS for providing more information on the book, for both me and perhaps others, who were not familiar with it.

Thanks to all your tips, I just bought the book and looking forward to drooling all over it. I will definitely be getting a Compax in the near future!

    Hi mate,

If you're talking about that ebay listing that you suggested in July, I'm afraid that the listing has ended. That's why I'm asking if any of you guys know where else can I buy the book. Appreciate your help.

    Thanks

I believe he is. The book took about two weeks to ship to the USA. It arrived very well packaged under layers of protection. And, if you can't make it to the gym, just use your Sala as a free weight (it's heavy).
