Is this actually a blue dial?

The photos are terrible for colour.

The dial indices are short, with an applied metal logo.
Very curious.
Has anyone viewed it?

listing says it essentially all original,right? Just seems a redial if really circa 1964

I have only observed this and have no explanation as to whether or not this is original.

The provenance says it could be original and I have seen other short indices dials on this reference - but is it original? Who can tell.

Maybe it's just a sales pitch as they've estimated it at 2 to3 times the price of the other 003 they have in the auction.

At least it looks bluer than the bezel in the same pictures, so I guess it's somewhat true blue-grey. IIRC, Moon Watch Only only mentions the very rare dial with short hour indices and applied logo for the Pro only, but someone else stated this type of dial was abundant especially for the South American market.

 

I am quite intrigued by the so-called Sunburst dial in its description. This one is a mystery to me as shown here: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f20/blue-dial-speedmaster-145-012-a-582565.html

 

So there you have it, Mr @Spacefruit. Just a different shade of blue or non blue...
