Well I would be willing to take a chance if I had a 2915 that could use them. But I can't see (for me) spending that amount on the chance that I might run across a 2915 someday. Would love to, but pretty chancy. ;)

the other option is, to buy them directly at Biel for 10times less money as the one's in the bay
in the background are pics from the auction, for me the Hands are exact the same.

    Hello incabloc.
The hands I have sold on eBay are not the same as the ones you have. Please take a closer look. The easiest way to tell is the lume in the minute hand, it is wider in the modern hands. The border of the lume on the tip of the hour hand on the new hands is uniform in width whereas the old hands have thick border at the bottom and thinner side borders. I hope that makes sense.
    Thanks Mick

The old hands are also 11mm (hour) 15mm (minute) whereas modern are 12mm (hour) 16mm (minute)
    Thanks Mick
Here is a quick drawing of the old hands to clarify hopefully. The old service hands I have are also tritium not luminova.

This is really why one would pay the bigger bucks, IMO. The originals may have been some sort of Radium derivative (or other radioactive material) but Tritium will still look much, much better than shiny Luminova. And Biel will never sell radioactive parts again, AFAIK.
    Just my 2¢ & best,
    T.

    Hi Tom
The tritium still gives out a nice gentle glow on the hands I have when subjected to a spotlight but only for a minute, if I did the same thing with luminova hands the glow would reach out and punch me on the end of the nose several times for a longer period.
    Cheers Mick

if you say that your hands and that one from the 2915 are exactly the same, expect the lume, then i really have to go to the opticians:)

The hands on the above 2915 look like modern ones to me that have had the luminova taken out and replaced with another substance.
There is a good link here that can explain better than I can.

I believe these are how the vintage hands should look like:

This watch to me did not come from the factory this way - huge discrepancy between the case condition and the rest of the watch.

incabloc, the pic of the 2915 you posted shows the modern flat replica hands from Omega with a nicely done relume.

Whereas the hands from mick are with no doubt from the early days. Maybe not the one that have been manufactured in 1957 when the Speedmaster came to the market. Those Details will never reveal. But with no doubt they are from this period. The hour hand is slightly curved as is the minute hand. The borders in the hour hand are NOT symetrical which is probably the main distinction. Finally the finish is not kind of Chrome but kind of warmer glowing nickel material, which becomes this goldish tone with the years being exposed to the sunlight and air. Finally the edge of the Point of lume cut in the minute hand is not pointed but slighly round (there is a Version with even more round top).Small differences, I admit, but significant for the collector :)

On the pic of MSN showing a 2915 offered by cars and watches in the netherlands, it looks allright to me.

Here is a nice example as well http://www.oredelmondo.it/orologi/omega-speed-master-broad-arrow-2915-2-1960s-eccellenti-condizioni
