Yeah, but based on the feedback, it seems an ok seller.

This watch spent a few hours before being snagged since I think the dial may have been retouched. If you look at the one photo of the front, some of the letters look a bit wonky and the dial finish in the same area looks off as well. It is a gamble beyond from the seller being from Romania.

One of the things to consider with a gamble watch like this one is, is it returnable. If the seller is reliable and you can send it back I am more inclined to give a shot.
If you have one of those eBay sellers that writes, "no returns" on the posting then it is not worth the trouble.

Are they even allowed to do that within ebay/paypal's rules?

Thanks Harry, I wasn't aware of that.
I was considering having a punt on this connie deluxe

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/111444175692?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVEPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

However the no returns and no response for request for better pictures has prevented me.

The seller of this watch asked for advice here.. Maybe their Grandfathers, and seldom worn.. We concluded it was a nice untouched example, but with crown replaced. I would also factor in a service, too. I couldn't say where this piece will end up...Luckily i'm only watching! ::popcorn::

I don't understand why he had to set a reserve on it, as it is its going to be a nice hit for him and these things always tend to make or exceed market value on the bay when the photos are competently taken.

I get annoyed and don't bother bidding on items with reserve at times.

I know what you mean. He should of left it to find it's true market value. I think with the right pics this one would fly!

I totally agree. Someone tried touching up the dial. The 2nd letter O and M in Chronometer has been touched up and do not match the same letters in the dial. The 2nd letter O font is bigger and wider than the rest and the dial finish below it to the hands looks like some kind of cleaner was used because of the discoloration.

    Hi All

i am not an expert but if you make some investigation the reference 14381/2

engraved in the case back is not for this dial

and the case back not engraved constellation and waterproof

like in the other Grand luxe

so i think it s a rebuilt Watch with ORIGINAL Omega part

or the Watch is all original but the dial was changed in the past

if someone who know can confirm wath i think

perhaps it s right or perhaps wrong i am not an expert .
