I collect watches... and not having quality japanese watches in the collection would be really silly.
I've actually got a very similar clock here somewhere to that last one you posted, wasn't sure what it was, but my grandfather was an air traffic controller and was given it with his callsign on a plaque where Seiko Transistor is on yours.
So we're looking for collectors of Japanese watches, and not Japanese people who collect watches….. okay, got it. This one counts!
Nobody would ever mistake me for a collector but I have my fair share of Japanese made watches (sometimes Japanese outsource things like straps and bracelets to 3rd party nations). Let's see, here are a couple from a few:

Bill - That's a great showcase. I've (secretly) thought serious collectors may have at least one GS. Now I have one cool piece of evidence, that it could be true. Very nice & Thx for sharing!!
Hi John thanks for the kind words. I always loved the early Seikos and Citizens. Grand and king Seikos.... also you can't beat a modern seiko for a daily wearer in hazardous conditions , ck amazon for styles at almost 50% off retail..... good hunting bill
Showoff! I have a couple of Seiko chronographs cal. 6138 and 6139: Also, I have a nice day-date automatic from 1974 that I know is all original, since I am the original owner. Take care, gatorcpa
Hi My dad's is a 6138 , but I need to find a new bracelet for it as my dad tried to modify the center link years ago .. !! augh... good hunting bill sohne
Just joined your forum and can already see there's lot of learning I can do here. Just noticed this on Japanese watches. I've basically been a Rolex guy for a number of years but as of recent I've become more and more interested in the Seiko vintage watches. I have a 6139-6015 that I purchased new about 1973 or so as well as a 6139-6002 (Pogue) that I picked up a couple of months ago in beautiful condition. Presently I'm on the look for an original model 6138 if I can find a nice on. I'm enjoying your forum.
Hi Doug and welcome! I have no interest in Seiko's but yet, I own 2 because you can't deny their qualities! I'm sure I'll flip them but I sure do enjoy their functionality and unique design.
