Haven't seen one of these for a while, SMPP. Not perfect but an uncommon piece. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VERY-RARE-V...468292004?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item4188d14ba4Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I thought it looked that way too but in the ad he specifies it as yellow gold, I wonder if its a white balance issue or if the seller is just wrong
Looking at this pic I think its yellow but maybe with rose or tarnished hands, because the second hand definitely looks yellow and the same hue as the dial and case but the hands are a different tone entirely
Most of them have been Mexico delivered, my date at six stepped was delivered to "French Colonies" which seeing as the French were second only to the British in sticking their flags in things could be anything from New Caledonia to Vietnam (it was delivered just a matter of months before the Vietnamese people expressed displeasure to the French).
Yep and neither are dealbreakers at all really the crown should just be a yellow gold clover which is not hard to find and a short length yellow gold hand set from a piepan isn't too tricky either
this one's interesting but just can't help but compare it to that bad boy Ref 2627 of yours.. a healthy defense mechanism
Yeah, his stepped dial date-at-6 is the best example of any Seamaster Pie Pan I've ever seen of any reference / caliber.
