    I agree with the museum. Calling most of Warhol's stuff "art" is a stretch, unless you put the word "refrigerator" in front of it.

    I don't personally care for his work, either. However, those who are tasked by museums to acquire works should never allow their personal tastes to distort their judgements, and in the context of both the art market and established art history, Mr. Barr can only be seen as having been spectacularly wrong.

    A fair, and correct, assessment.

    Indeed. Reminiscent of the rejection of the Rolex Submariner ref. 6538 by the U.S. Navy Experimental Diving Unit in 1958. OK, not really, but it's fun for Enicar fans to bring this up.
