    Meh...
It's easy to find up in Joisey, but there are farr superior alternatives for the same price or cheaper.

Eagle Rare gets my vote for a sometimes findable, delicious treat in that price range.

Aberlour, A'bunadh! with lots of vanilla and wood flavors, but very smooth.

One of my favourites, and pretty potent to boot! Looks like you're due a refill though!

You can keep your peat and smoke...........too much like drinking mouth wash. Sherry or port finished is the way to go!

Aberlour is one of my favourites too, much prefer speysides. Have only ever had the 10yo. Looks like this is one of the cask strength specials

+1 on the count against peat & smoky, I just can't handle this style. :-(

These two Aberlour are some of my favorites...

Luckily for me, I do not drink bourbon at all.

On the hot days a cold beer fits perfect and on the cold days just a glass of dry red wine.
Well, sometimes, during the coldest days a cup of "boiled" wine is great. I do not know how it is called in English. :)

I'm familiar with the German-styled Glühwein, is your "boiled wine" something similar?

    Yes, this is it.
I like it with cinnamon and must be served very very hot. :)

We're on to brandy now.......when do we stoop to the common mans beverage of choice (beer)?

Oh, i found the whiskythread! Excellent!
I have 2 vices in life, my watches and my whisky's. Im not much of a drinker but the occasional whisky is important.

After i got 2 kids, im buying bottles faster than i can drink them.
