Here's another U-C that looks like it would clean up very nice: http://www.ebay.com/itm/230869886035?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network It's not the high beat 36,000 bph caliber - it's a 28,800 bph 6651 made from 1972 to 1975-ish. Seems like a reasonable price too with the original bracelet.
Wait, what? You see a bunch of Ultrachrons and get a yen for a 13ZN? That's a difference of a few decades and about a paycheck!
Yes, the general Longinic stimulation of this forum has awakened that dormant desire, and it somehow erupted here. There will be more non sequiturs to follow.
Sorry about that outburst. Back on topic now. This one is nice - do you know the rough dimensions? Like 35, 36mm across?
I think that reference is 35 mm without crown, but measured 2 - 8 ø it's 37 or 38 mm. These cushion and C-cases are better measured that way to give a more realistic idea of what size they visually compare to in round watches. You Zenith guys have a taste for these odd cases from the late 60's and early 70's so it might be right up your alley.
I am actually the seller that sold that watch, I bought it NOS. I may be putting up another Ultra-Chron for sale soon if anyone else is interested..
