    hey guys,

I was at my grandparents over the weekend and my grand father has an extensive watch collection.

He let me have an omega from the 1950's just wondering how to tell if it is real or not?? the band is not the original. but it is still keeping good time and has been sitting in a cabinet for 40 plus years. thanks for the help IMG_9201.jpg IMG_3055.jpg

Yes .It's real. Maybe ref 2576 powered by a 342.
We can tell you more if we can see the movement and inside case back. (Nice Grandpa)

If it has been sitting for 40 years and you let it keep running, you'll soon have a small paperweight that used to keep time when it was lubricated...

Look into having it serviced! Aside from being a priceless gift to you from your grandfather, it's a nice watch!
